Once there was a guy named Billy who went to a campfire with his friends. They sat around telling stories, and the conversation got really deep. A couple of them even cried. They joked that it was just the beer, but everybody knew. The next morning Billy went to church and listened to a three-point sermon. Nobody cried, and everyone went home. Next weekend Billy realized he couldn't go to both things, so...
Ok, maybe the Billy story never really happened. Except it did, in a million different ways! Maybe even in your life. As humans, we like to get together with our friends and have fun. We naturally tell stories and talk freely. But religion is so not that...so we quit going, but that doesn't mean we quit on God. We just want something real.
The good news is, you're right. Your spirituality should make you more alive, more connected, more human...not less! Following Jesus should happen in real life, with real friends. And think about it for a second. What's the Bible? It's a collection of stories, viscerally honest stories about messed up people and the experiences they had with their Creator. Stories that are screaming to be told, and talked about.
(Oh and real quick, leave us your email. We promise to keep it safe, not bug you too often, and only send you happy and inspiring news from our movement.)
Does anything in you light up to hear that? Like maybe somehow could it be possible for you to have it? The answer is, yes! We're a movement of groups getting together as friends and doing exactly that. We tell the stories of Scripture, and our own stories, and talk about them. We throw parties, meet up in creative places, and actually have fun. AND...we want to help you and your friends start a group. Here's how.
Yeshua Groups is a movement of friends getting together to tell the stories of Scripture and talk about them, campfire style. Read on to learn more.
